The foldable Apple iPad will be launched no later than 2024 according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Previously Kuo said a foldable iPhone was in development but it seems an iPad with this design will arrive first.
Kuo added that this foldable iPad will come with a stick made of carbon fiber material produced by China-based firm Anjie Technology. Post-pandemic demand for tablets is back down and the introduction of this unique model is expected to boost iPad production again.
If this prediction becomes a reality it will not be surprising because in the early stages the iPad was developed by Apple before the iPhone. Only after Steve Job saw its potential did he order a phone with the same system as the iPad to be developed in secret immediately.
Sales of foldable screen devices are predicted to increase as technology matures, software improves and other manufacturers offer similar devices globally.
