The Tesla Cybertruck is an electric pickup truck introduced by the electric vehicle company in 2019. Although the demand for the vehicle is seen as very positive, Tesla has yet to produce a single vehicle so far.
When asked about it during the company's financial presentation session, Elon Musk confirmed that the development of the vehicle will begin around the summer (second/third quarter of this year) and will only begin to be developed and delivered on a full scale in 2024.
Elon Musk said that the equipment to manufacture the Cybertruck is in the process of being assembled at the Tesla factory, and although the development of the vehicle will begin in the middle of this year, the delivery to customers who have already ordered the Cybertruck will only happen next year.
Not only that, Elon Musk also confirmed that changes in terms of vehicle configuration and also the price tag will change. This includes changes to the price tag of the cheapest model with a single motor configuration at $39,900 previously up to a three motor configuration at $70,000.
Tesla is still accepting deposits for this Cybertruck, but it seems to have officially said that the configuration and price tag offered may change depending on the economic situation and also the stability of the existing automotive materials and equipment market.
