After years of not being available on Windows, Apple has finally brought the Apple Music and Apple TV apps to the Microsoft Store.
The two Apple services previously could only be enjoyed on Windows via iTunes, both applications and browsers. But now the application is available in the Microsoft Store.
Apart from that, Apple also has a new application for Windows, namely Apple Devices, where users can manage their Apple devices from a Windows-based PC, we were quoted as saying from Engadget, Monday (16/1/2023).
Actually, the emergence of these three applications is not too surprising, because at the Surface 2022 event, Microsoft had indeed announced that these applications would be present in Windows 11.
However, Apple seems to have taken quite a long time to develop this application. The reason is that they have started recruiting engineers to create applications on Windows since last November 2019.
In his job description at the time, Apple said they were looking for a software developer to build the next generation of media applications on Windows.
For now it seems that the three Apple applications can only be installed on Windows 11 Build 22621. The Apple TV application functions like a similar application on a smart TV, while Apple Music currently does not have a lyrics feature, but even on macOS Apple Music does not have a lyrics feature. .
While the Apple Devices application seems to be positioned as a replacement for the sync and backup features that previously existed in iTunes. So users can use this application to back up data from Apple devices, synchronize media, or restore firmware.
iTunes itself has started to be replaced with a variety of separate applications since Apple released macOS Catalina. However, this step has only been taken on macOS, while on Windows, iTunes still works because there is no replacement yet.
As a result, Apple TV and Apple Music service users must use a browser to access these services.
