Digital Nasional Berhad now shared that they have successfully exceeded the initial target of 40% 5G coverage in populated areas targeted for 2022.
According to current figures, DNB says the 5G network now covers 47.1% of populated areas throughout Malaysia.
If by state, it is interesting that DNB now says that 5G coverage has reached 90% of populated areas in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor.
While in Johor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan, it has reached coverage of around 50% of the populated areas.
This figure is expected to continue to increase, in addition to expansion in new areas throughout the country. According to the initial target, DNB aims to cover 80% with 5G network nationwide, by 2024.
