The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to be launched in early February with three models to be offered. Now there are rumors that when it is launched it will not be offered with 128GB storage. On the other hand, the smallest storage size is 256GB and the S23 Ultra model will be offered with storage up to 1TB.
This is a reasonable move because we realized that 128GB is too small for a flagship device that no longer supports micro SD cards. On the S22 Ultra that we reviewed early last year, after restoring data from another phone, only 20GB can be used. This is a very small storage size for use beyond a year.
If this report is accurate, we expect larger base storage to be the 2023 trend as long as device prices don't skyrocket.
