Elon Musk has now shared his target, saying one of the car manufacturers from China will be the closest competitor for his company Tesla.
However, Elon Musk did not specify the brand of the vehicle. One of the brands that has been quite active lately is BYD, which has also expanded the market to Malaysia recently.
Elon Musk also emphasized that companies from China offer a higher rate of competition and innovation in the world than others.
In 2022, Tesla has produced around 1.3 million vehicles. BYD says they have sold around 1.8 million vehicles under the NEV category in 2022. In Malaysia, ATTO 3 is ready to be marketed by BYD at a price starting at RM149,800.
