Horrified, Artificial Intelligence Passes University Law Exam

The artificial intelligence program nicknamed Claude, developed by AI research firm Anthropic, successfully passed the law and economics exams at George Mason University, United States. This is increasingly a sign that artificial intelligence is getting smarter and a bit scary at the same time.

As quoted by us from Futurism, AI technology is experiencing a moment of growth in explosive capabilities and can be abused. Currently, the most popular of course is ChatGPT, but there are others that are no less sophisticated like Claude.

Anthropic began quietly testing Claude late last year, and the program is already being hailed as a worthy rival to ChatGPT, the OpenAI AI text generator that has taken the internet by storm.

Currently, the company is still limiting public access to its AI and they are only testing it through a closed beta system. Of course, it is possible that this program will be used widely.

Claude is said to have impressed academics. Because, he was able to express comprehensive answers with complicated instructions in the exams conducted.

For example in one of the law exam questions Claude was able to come up with credible recommendations on how to change intellectual property laws. The answer is considered convincing.

"Overall, the goal is to make IP laws less stringent and make more works available to the public more quickly. But it's important to keep some incentives and compensation in place for creators for a limited period of time," Claude wrote.

So there are those who consider Claude to be a worthy rival for ChatGPT because he can answer credibly, sometimes even better than humans.
