Apple has just released iOS 16.3 as the latest version of iOS, but leaks of iOS 17 which will be used on the iPhone 15 have already been circulated. But it still looks like iOS 16, really.
iOS 17 will be released this year, possibly at the WWDC 2023 event and will only be available to the public when iOS 15 is released, possibly next September, we were quoted as saying from GSM Arena, Thursday (26/1/2023).
Even so, leaked appearance has been circulating. From the leak, it can be seen that the appearance is still similar to iOS 16, aka there is no big change in appearance. Most of the changes are said to be in the sector of stability and efficiency.
In addition, the big change in iOS 17 will be support for Apple's mixed reality headset, which will probably be called Reality Pro, a combination of virtual reality and augmented reality (AR/VR).
Support for the headset is said to be in the form of a special application on iOS 17. It is suspected that this application will have the same concept as the Watch application for the Apple Watch, but with far more features.
One of the applications affected by the change is Music, which is reported to have received changes to the navigation of the application. The Mail application was also simplified, and Reminders and Files were also said to have undergone changes but were not explained in detail.
There are also minor changes to the Fitness and Wallet apps, which will presumably link up with Apple Pay Later.
But what is clear is that iOS 17 is designed to run on devices with Dynamic Island, which is currently on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. While reportedly all iPhone 15 variants will have Dynamic Island, and leave an outdated notch.
From the iOS 17 leak, it was also revealed that all iPhone 15 variants will use a USB-C port, but only two will support USB 3.2, possibly the Pro and Pro Max variants. While the non-Pro variant still uses the same USB standard as Lightning, and only the port has changed to USB-C.
Especially for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, it is reported that it is equipped with image processing software that is more sophisticated than the iPhone 15 Pro, but it does not specify what sophistication it has. Oh yes, the most expensive variant of the iPhone is also said to have a better cooling system, maybe because the body is indeed bigger than other iPhone variants.
