Lenovo Legion Pro 7 And Pro 5 Series Updated With Intel And AMD Processor Options


 Laptops under the Lenovo Legion series have been updated with several new variants. These include the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i, Legion Pro 7, Legion Pro 5i and Legion Pro5, all of which were announced at CES 2023. The offerings are also impressive with all-new internal hardware support.



Lenovo Pro 7i and Pro 7 share most of the same features and functions. Through it, a 16-inch IPS WQXGA screen (2560 X 1600 pixels) with a refresh rate of 240Hz is used. Also included is TrueStike physical keyboard support with customizable RGB backlight support.


Both also include NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs, memory options up to 32GB RAM and built-in storage of up to 2TB PCIe SSD (Gen 4). In addition, the Lenovo Legion ColdFront 5.0 cooling system with a wider vapor chamber for good heat flow. Next, Lenovo's dedicated LA AI chip helps monitor CPU and GPU load for consistently good performance all the time.



Other specifications include a built-in 1080P/720P webcam, 99.99Whr battery capacity with 140W wired charging and two built-in speakers. The I/O option consists of 1 x Type C (USB 3.2 Gen 2 + DisplayPort 1.4). 1 x Type A (USB 3.2 Gen 1), 1 x Type A (USB 3.2 Gen 1), 1 x E-Shutter Button, 1 x DC, 1 x Type C, 1 x Type A USB 3.2 Gen 1, 1 x Type A USB 3.2 Gen 1, 1 x HDMI 2.1, 1 x RJ45 and audio jack.


A significant difference can be seen in the CPU support, where the Legion Pro 7i uses an Intel Core i9-13900HX CPU. Meanwhile, the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU is included in the Legion Pro 7. Other advantages can also be seen in the Pro 7i variant which is supplied with Thunderbolt 4 support and Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E for a smoother broadband connection.



The Lenovo Legion 5i and Pro 5 also have 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS screens with a 240Hz refresh rate. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 GPU series is also used with memory options up to 32GB RAM and storage up to 2TB PCIe SSD (Gen 4) built-in. The battery capacity is 80Whr with 140W wired charging. Other specifications include a built-in 1080P/720P webcam, two built-in speakers and running Windows 11 Pro/Home.


The difference in this model can also be seen in the CPU support until the Intel Core i9-13900HX is used on the Legion Pro 5i. Meanwhile, Legion Pro 5 is equipped with CPU up to AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX.
