Through a recent update, the Samsung Wallet service will be expanded to several other markets including Malaysia. Sharing more, Samsung said that the service is already available for users in Malaysia. This is in line with Samsung's previous announcement which targeted its introduction at the end of January 2023.
However, our checks through several Samsung devices, whether the Galaxy A series or the Galaxy Fold, have yet to find any updates for this digital wallet service in the Samsung Galaxy Store app store. Samsung also stated that exact update availability may also vary by user. This means that the acceptance phase is gradual.
Samsung Wallet is a digital wallet that allows Samsung device users to store various important physical cards. This includes identification cards, payment cards, keys, flight passes and so on. In addition, it can also be used for the storage of digital assets such as cryptocurrencies. Furthermore, SmartThings integration also allows smart keys to be stored through it. It is also protected by Samsung Knox as a layer of security.
