Two years ago, Xiaomi stated that their first electric car would be introduced in four years - meaning around 2024. Xiaomi also aims to become one of the five largest car manufacturers and wants to produce 10 million cars a year.
Testing of their self-driving car technology was also started last year. This technology is dubbed as Xiaomi Auto Pilot which will be used on other cars besides their own cars later. Recently, a mockup image of Xiaomi's alleged first electric car has been leaked.
This car is dubbed as Xiaomi MS11 EV. It is a sedan car with four doors, full glass roof, oversized tires with Xiaoni logo, Wilwood brake system, LiDAR sensor on the windshield, and overall looks like a BYD Seal car with Aston Martin-like lighting design.
This mockup image is similar to the design that has been leaked before and according to Xiaomi, it is a prototype design during the early development of this car. But according to sources, this car has been seen on roads around China.
For now, there are no more details about this car. If it is true that Xiaomi will present a car in 2024, we may hear official information around the end of this year or early next year. Let's wait together.
