December two years ago, Telegram was updated with a feature to hide messages. Users can choose the text they want to hide and it will only be displayed after the recipient presses it. In the latest update, Telegram includes the ability to hide social media as well – where images will be obscured with a flickering effect and need to be pressed to reveal them.
Not only that, better storage management features were also introduced. Previously, any file downloaded from Telegram if deleted on the user's device could be downloaded again at any time. Now, the auto-delete file feature is introduced and users can set it according to conversations such as individuals, groups or even channels. A pie chart will also be displayed to make it easier for users to manage storage.
To make it even easier for users, Telegram also introduced new drawing and text tools to their editing features. If the user draws a line, depending on the speed the thickness of the line will change and the line will also appear neat automatically. Image blur tool is also included to cover sensitive content and color selection feature is also like using professional software. As for text tools, users can now change the size, typeface, background and add emojis.
We have also reported on a feature that allows users to set a friend's profile picture. In addition, users can also set who can see the profile picture either publicly or nobody.
For groups with more than 100 members, Telegram now allows administrators to hide the member list. This feature allows privacy to be better maintained, such as one cannot message privately to other individuals who are in the same group.
Telegram also updated several features such as new download process animations, added sticker packs and interactive emojis to liven up the chat room.
This update has been tested since December for beta users and has been distributed gradually to all stable users. You can check Google Play Store and Apple App Store for this new Telegram messaging update.
