In addition to the data of 13 million Astro, Maybank and SPR customers being sold openly online today, Unifi customer data is also being sold on the same site. Unifi has confirmed that the data involving 250,248 Unifi Mobile customers was affected in the sold database.
The leaked data is in the form of name, phone number and email only at this time. No other information was found leaked by Unifi. Affected customers have been contacted by Unifi Mobile. NC4, the Personal Data Protection Department and SKMM have also been informed about this incident.
Unifi Mobile informs users that there will be no disruption to the service due to the leakage of user data. Monitoring continues to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
