US Reportedly Bans Huawei From Buying Qualcomm And Intel Chips

Huawei has already suffered serious economic sanctions that have resulted in them no longer being able to offer 5G devices, sell cellular equipment and access foundries that offer US-owned technology. Their situation may become more bitter after Reuters reported that they will be prevented from buying chips produced by Qualcomm and Intel.

Joe Biden's administration is believed to have blocked the issuance of new licenses allowing non-5G chips to be sold by U.S. companies to Huawei. Earlier permission was granted which allowed Huawei core to manufacture smartphones with Qualcomm chips and Windows laptops after being included in the entity list.

This news, if true, will certainly have an impact on Huawei, which just last year managed to restabilize its business, which was severely affected by the sanctions imposed by the U.S.
