Twitter seems to set a number of technical limits on their service, thus preventing the social service from being misused.
Through the limit setting, Twitter limits to 2,400 tweets per day – where it is limited by hours and so on. Each Retweet is also subject to this count.
In addition, in terms of following an account, Twitter limits it to 400 accounts per day. However, the limit may be imposed earlier if the system detects users following aggressively and suddenly.
If the limit is reached, the user is asked to try again in a few hours or later in the day.
