Twitter today announced they will stop offering access to the Twitter API for free, starting February 9, 2023. With this move, it is expected to affect a number of services that operate using Twitter's API access.
Twitter stated that, as an alternative to that, they will offer basic paid access to developers.
This is seen as one of the steps in Elon Musk's efforts to continue generating income using the social platform.
This move comes after a number of clients were previously inoperable after Twitter stopped access and permissions for them.
This change may make many developers less fond of it, and may look to some other platforms to continue offering their respective services.
