Your Personal Data Leaked? Check Here!

Personal data of a person is a thing that cybercriminals love. The more data they get, they can sell the data or maybe use the data for profit.

Launching Bitdefender, data leaks usually cover many aspects. Some of these include credit card or other financial information, security numbers, identity cards, home addresses, biometric data, telephone numbers, emails and passwords.

Well, actually no one has been able to really check whether data leaks apart from passwords and emails. However, email and passwords are windows of multiple access. For example, access for banking to work matters.

Data proves that there are around 300 million people who experience data leaks every year. Therefore, the issue of awareness of the importance of protecting personal data needs to be continuously promoted.

To find out if our passwords and emails have been leaked in hacking, you can take advantage of the sites below:

1. Have I Been Pwned

This site has been used for a long time and collects data originating from various hacking incidents. Users only have to enter their email address into the search field and wait to see if this email address has been leaked or not.

2. Google Chrome

Google has security features built into its Chrome browser. So when a user enters a password on a site, Google will check whether the password has ever been spread in any hacking incident that has occurred.

3. Firefox Monitor

Just like Chrome, Firefox also provides email and password checking features via monitor.firefox.com. The way it works is somewhat the same, namely by entering an email into the search field.

4. Avast

Enter avast.com/hackcheck/, you can check if any of your private data has been leaked to the public. The search method and results are somewhat the same as the site above.
