In the last year, the infrastructure of electric chargers in Malaysia is growing, helped by the entry of large companies Gentari and Tenaga Nasional. It makes it easier for battery electric vehicle (BEV) owners to charge their vehicles when they are not at home. However, many users complain that searching outside the known area is a little difficult due to the lack of comprehensive application support.
Waze today finally started displaying the location of electric vehicle chargers built right into the app. When the search is done, the option for the vehicle charger can be selected. Previously only gas station searches were provided.
The support is timely as it has been supported by Google Maps for a long time. This feature is currently available to users in the United States and will be rolled out globally in stages.
