MSI Spatium M570 M.2 Frozr Comes With Built-in Cooler, Data Read Rate As Fast As 20GB/s

MSI is a well-known brand for computer components such as motherboards and graphics cards, but did you know that they also have memory and storage offerings as well?

At the COMPUTEX Taipei event, they showed off their latest storage offerings, the MSI SPatium M570 M.2 Frozr and Frozr+, which are PCIe 5.0 SSD storage with built-in Spatium cooling blocks.

This SSD comes in M.2 2280 size with a storage option of 2TB and has a different built-in cooling block depending on the model. The Frozr model uses a fanless cooling block but has many fins for heat absorption and dissipation, while the Frozr+ model features a more compact aluminum cooling block design, but has a built-in TORX 5.0 fan to dissipate heat more efficiently.

MSI says that with this cooling block, their SSDs can operate at temperatures 20-30 degrees Celsius lower than normal, and this allows them to maintain data transfer rates as fast as 10-14GB/s, and when combined in a RAID-0 configuration, the data reading and transmission speed increased to 20-22GB/s.

This storage comes in 1, 2 and 4TB capacity options, and is expected to arrive in selected markets in the third quarter of this year. The price tag for this storage is not yet known.
