Threads, the Twitter competitor introduced by Meta last week, today made a surprise when it managed to register more than 100 million registered user accounts so far. This makes Threads the fastest growing social platform to date.
For comparison, Instagram itself took about 2 and a half years to reach 100 million users, while TikTok took about 9 months. ChatGPT previously took around 2 months to reach 100 million users.
Threads is seen to be the fastest platform so far, taking just 4 days to reach that figure. It was launched last July 6, 2023, and today on July 10, 2023, Threads has over 100 million registered users.
Several factors made Threads manage to reach this figure so quickly, especially the account linked with Instagram and the easy registration process for users.
With this achievement, the next challenge is to keep users on the platform – including attracting advertisers, as well as introducing various exciting new features.
