Intel Confirms Meteor Lake-S Desktop CPUs Will Arrive Mid-2024

Last week, Intel announced that their 14th generation Meteor Lake processing chip will be launched at the end of this year, and most recently, it was also reported that Meteor Lake CPUs for desktop computers will also be introduced around the middle of next year.

Via PC World report, Michelle Johnston Holthaus who is the vice president of the Client Computing Group at Intel said that Intel Meteor Lake desktop CPU options will be launched next year.

Not much is known in terms of details about the processing chip at the moment, but the company is expected to introduce the Raptor Lake Refresh chip next month, and it will go on sale and used in desktop computers early next year.

Interestingly, through other reports that show leaked information, the Meteor Lake-S CPU that will be introduced only comes with 35W and 65W CPU options only, which are Intel Core i3 and Intel Core i5 class CPUs. Even so, with the branding name of the latest model, it is expected to be named Intel Core 3 and Core 5.

In terms of motherboard usage, it is expected that this Intel Meteor Lake-S CPU series will support Intel LGA1851 motherboards. Intel's Meteor Lake series of processing chips are seen to come with built-in memory chips and storage controllers, in addition to changes in terms of physical core usage and also NPU chips for artificial intelligence, so it will be interesting to see if the same will be repeated for the class CPU series. this desktop.
