It seems now that Maybank is preparing for the introduction of Google Wallet support features for their customers soon. This is known through a promotional test conducted by Maybank on the MAE application - briefly showing a promotion for users to add their card to Google Wallet and use Google Pay.
This promotional test is seen to be done only for a while by Maybank on the MAE application.
Google Wallet is a payment support provided on Android devices, allowing users to add a bank card to it, and then only need to touch the device on the payment terminal – much like Samsung Wallet and Apple Pay.
Currently, Google Wallet only supports a few local banks, including CIMB, Hong Leong Bank, HSBC Bank, Public Bank and Wise.
