In line with the announcement by the Government during the presentation of the 2024 Budget regarding the granting of a rebate of up to RM2,400 for electric motorcycles, details on the application will be announced on 8 December 2023. This will include various details on the scheme's application mechanism, in addition to expected implementation policies, user guides and frequently asked questions about it.
For the record, this rebate incentive was announced by the government under the Electric Motorcycle Use Promotion Scheme, which can be used by recipients with an annual income of RM120,000 and below. This is also able to further encourage the people to accept the use of EVs in Malaysia.
