OnePlus 12 Will Be Equipped With 50MP Sony LYT900 Camera Sensor

Last year, Sony announced LYTIA as the new branding for their camera sensors. In June 2023, five lenses under LYTIA namely LYT500, LYT600, LYT700, LYT800 and LYT900 will be launched. Oppo was one of the first companies to announce a collaboration with Sony to use this camera sensor.

Recently, OnePlus China via Weibo has announced that the OnePlus 12 will use the new LYTIA sensor. This sensor is more sophisticated than the LYT800 that will be used on the vivo X100.

The sensor for OnePlus 12 is said to be based on LYT900 which is IMX988. It is a 50MP sensor and most likely uses the same technology as the Exmor T used in the Xperia 1 V. The sensor is 1/1.4-inch in size, has two stacked pixel transistors. This new camera technology will bring better night photography.

OnePlus 12 is also said to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, support 50W wireless charging, 3000 nits screen, use USB 3.2 and support 3x optical zoom, approximately the same as the OnePlus Open.
