OpenAI has now announced that they are temporarily suspending registrations for paid use of ChatGPT, also known as ChatGPT Plus. This temporary stop is due to high demand among users to use it.
This high demand comes on the back of various new announcements by OpenAI for ChatGPT – including the ability to create your own GPT. And to use every GPT generated by other users – users who want to try also need to have a paid account.
This indirectly makes many people sign up for the ChatGPT paid plan. OpenAI's CEO stated that this left them running out of capacity – forcing them to temporarily halt the ChatGPT Plus paid plan.
For now, it is not known when ChatGPT Plus registration will reopen.
