The value of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) once again exceeded RM200,000 today. When the article was written, 1 BTC was equivalent to RM204,680. This was BTC's highest value since the end of 2021 before it fell as low as RM72,450 in December 2022.
The value of BTC started recording a sharp upward trend since mid-October where it was worth around RM127,000. This is good news for crypto investors because when the value of BTC increases, the value of other cryptocurrencies typically increases as well. Various scandals involving the crypto exchange Binance and also FTX are among the factors causing the value of crypto to be severely affected.
