Disney+ Will Also Offer Video Games And Ecommerce

Disney+ has been operating for four years but has yet to record a profit for Disney. One of the ways they increase revenue is by offering ad-supported subscriptions. But to further increase revenue Disney+ may offer video games and e-commerce features in the near future.

According to a Variety report citing Rita Ferro, who is the president of Disney's business and advertising division, there are plans to offer video games and e-commerce features directly on the Disney+ service. For example, products advertised in Disney+ can be purchased directly from within the application. Similarly, products related to Disney IP can also be offered to customers directly.

As for video games, the focus is on mobile games on smartphones. This is the same strategy done by Netflix which offers free games to customers without having to buy additional packages.
