Selangka is one of the applications supported by the Selangor state government for the health and well-being of the people of Selangor. Most recently, through the Selangkah application update, it also includes an interesting feature to make it easier for users to get transport that connects users to the nearest station or public transport location.
This was made possible by the collaboration of Trek Rides. Trek Rides provides DRT (Demand Responsive Transit) services in the form of vans or minibuses that facilitate users to the nearest public transport service. This also aims to overcome the "last-mile" communication problems faced by many residents today.
Through Trek, it aims to use a variety of data and connect users to underserved areas – at an affordable price. Trek Rides operates in only a few locations today, namely in Puchong and Ampang. Users can make a reservation and ride the DRT service provided via van between 7am to 9pm, with a fare of RM2 one way.
For the integration on the Selangkah application, it is still in the initial phase. Through the latest update, the Selangkah app simply provides a Trek icon that takes users to the Trek app installed on the device. However, in collaboration with Selangkah, it is expected to integrate booking support directly into Selangkah in the future.
