Generative AI features are growing day by day. If you remember, when Android 14 was launched one of the interesting features we liked was generating unique background images with AI. This feature is limited to Pixel 8 devices with Google promising that it will be offered to other devices one day. As expected, Samsung is seen to be among the first to receive this feature.
This feature will be given to Samsung devices running One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. In the customization settings, there will be a feature to generate backgrounds with generative AI through several topic options such as in YouTube Music. Users then enter the promo and press the Surprise me button to get unique images.
This image generating feature is nothing new. Before generative AI became popular Oppo and OnePlus were present with more or less the same features. The difference, "prom" here is to take/use a picture from the device and an image with abstract graphics will be generated based on the color in the picture. This feature on OnePlus is called Workshop.
Interestingly on Samsung devices, the background image on the lock screen will also receive real-time weather visual effects support. Samsung devices will also reportedly market the Galaxy S24 as the first AI phone. One UI 6.1 is said to be launched together with the Samsung Galaxy S24 which is expected to arrive on January 17.
