Sony today officially shared their latest achievement, announcing that the PlayStation 5 has sold over 50 million units in the 3 years since it was introduced.
Previously, the PlayStation 5 was launched in November 2020, but sales were relatively slow initially as production units were very limited – and affected by the Motion Control Order, as well as the affected world semiconductor demand.
However, since 2023, PlayStation 5 console sales have returned to normal, making it easier for users to get the new generation console. In fact, Sony has also introduced a small update to the PlayStation 5 console this year.
In Malaysia, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition is offered at a price of RM2069, while the PlayStation 5 Ultra HD Blu-ray is offered at a price of RM2499.
