A lot has been said about the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro console, but this is the first time that so much has been said about the specifications of this "new" console.
The PS5 Pro developer model that will be sent to game developers is reportedly named "Project Trinity", where it will feature more powerful specifications than what is offered with the current PlayStation 5 console.
These specs include an AMD Zen 2 CPU with 8 cores at 4.4GHz, an RDNA3 graphics chip, 60 Compute Units and 16GB of GDDR6 memory. The SoC that will be used is expected to come with the name Viola, and will be developed using a 4nm process by TSMC specifically for this console.
Tom Henderson, a well-known product information leaker, said that he could not confirm the rumored specifications, as he had not received the details himself, but said that it would not be surprising if they were true as Sony appears to have already started distributing this Project Trinity console to a number of video game developers.
