TikTok Removes 1.5 Million Videos of Malaysian Users for Violating Policy


 TikTok has recently released its Q3 2023 quarterly report. During these three months, a total of 136,530,148 videos have been deleted for violating policies regarding propaganda content, defamation or fake news and so on.



Interestingly in this report, there is also data for users in Malaysia. A total of 1,555,199 videos have been deleted and 90.8% of videos took around 24 hours to delete. Most of these deleted videos are Russian and Ukrainian war content and also affected are Malaysian political videos.


The total of more than 136 million videos deleted during these three months is only 1% of the total videos uploaded from July 1, 2023 to September 3, 2023.
