Tourists Given Temporarily Relaxation in Filling MDAC at Country Entrance

Any foreign tourist or visitor entering the country is required to fill in the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) as a new travel condition that comes into force on 1 December 2023. In the initial sharing it must be done online with a period of three days (including the date of submission of the MDAC ) before every visit to Malaysia.

But flexibility is given to do so at the entrance of the country for now as a strategy to make it easier for them to adapt to the new situation. It was also emphasized that the implementation of MDAC is part of the main initiative to improve immigration facilities under the Visa Liberalization Plan (PLV) which exempts Chinese and Indian tourists from visas for 30 days.

The MDAC registration form can be accessed through the official website of the Malaysian Immigration Department. It needs to be completed with some important details including nationality and passport number.
