WhatsApp is reportedly coming with a music sharing feature for video calls in a future update. The feature named as Share Music Audio will provide the ability to share music audio during video calls using the screen sharing option.
This feature is also said not to be limited to music only, even any type of audio including video that is played can also be heard by other users in the same video call session. However, this access is only available for active video calls, which means it cannot be used for voice or video calling features that are turned off.
However, it is still in the development stage where it is not yet clear about the official launch to the public. What is certain is that it should receive improvements before launching in the full version.
