KTM has previously announced that it will support payment systems using Apple Pay and Samsung Wallet for train ticket payments starting in early 2024. In parallel, the support has now been added, and users can use it when riding KTM trains.
The introduction of this feature comes after KTM introduced the support of an open payment system supporting debit cards last November 2023. With this move, users are given more options in paying to ride the KTM train, rather than being limited to buying tickets at the counter only.
Using Apple Pay and Samsung Wallet, users can easily touch their device on the terminal at the door, and enter the train afterwards. In addition to the use of devices with the relevant support, users can also install the KTMB KITS application, and scan it for payment purposes.
