The One UI 6.1 update has started to be received by owners of Samsung Galaxy S23, Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and Tab S9 devices in Malaysia this morning. Among the questions asked by users is whether all the Galaxy AI features provided on the Galaxy S24 series are provided on older devices? After updating our Z Fold5 and Galaxy S23 Ultra just now, the answer is yes.
There is no direct difference in terms of Galaxy AI features given. After downloading the update which is around 3GB, the update process only takes a few minutes. Immediately after the device restarts, a screen lists the Galaxy AI drivers that can be used.
Circle to Search, Call Assist, Notes Assist, photo editing with AI, generate backgrounds, do website summaries, Interpreter and more all work as on S24 series. We haven't noticed any difference in terms of speed of doing the same task so far. To receive One UI 6.1, please update the device through your Software Update settings today.
