As everyone is aware, effective March 1, 2024, the government has announced the introduction of Service Tax of 8% for a number of services, while logistics services are set at a rate of 6%.
This step at the same time led to some changes in the service tax charge for services under Pos Malaysia. The following is a sharing regarding SST tax charges for logistics services under Pos Malaysia:
All mail products remain at 0% SST (no change)
International shipping remains at 0% SST (no change)
Express Post (courier) under 30kg remains at 6% (no change)
Express Post (courier) over 30kg: increased from 0% to 6%
Domestic sea parcels: increased from 0% to 6%
Service for motorcycle delivery: increased from 0% to 6%
