Apple iPhone 6 Plus is now categorized as Obsolete

To those who are still loyal to the iPhone 6 Plus, your smartphone is now categorized as obsolete (obsolete) by Apple starting today. The iPhone 6 Plus was launched in 2014 but production was only discontinued in 2016.

Apple will categorize a device as obsolete 7 years after it is no longer manufactured. Therefore the owner can no longer get spare parts or customer service for the device after it enters this category. Even so, the iPhone 6 is not yet categorized as obsolete because it was still released in 2017.

On the software level, both models last received the iOS 12 operating system update in 2018. So for iPhone 6 Plus owners, this year is the best year to buy a new iPhone to replace an outdated phone.
