The Acer Chromebook Plus 514 was announced in Taiwan today with a 14″ screen to allow it to be used for productivity and education purposes better. The 14″ screen is of the IPS CLD type with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and touch support.
It is matched with an Intel Core i3-N305 chip, Intel UHD graphics, 8 GB LPDDR5 SDRAM memory, up to 512 GB storage, PCIe Gen 3 NVMe and a 53 Wh three-cell battery that provides up to 11 hours of use time. The included camera is full HD with various noise reduction features as well as AI features that improve video quality when used.
The body of the Chromebook Plus 514 passes MIL-STD 810H durability standards. In addition there are two USB-C ports, a USB-A sat and an SD card reader. The computer also supports WiFi 6E but no cellular support. All these components are included in the laptop body weighing 1.43 kilograms. Acer Chromebook Plus 514 will go on sale in May with prices starting at $400 (~RM1900) each.
