Arm is one of the world's leading chip designers, where the chips they produce are widely used by Qualcomm, Samsung and so on. Most recently, with a focus on the artificial intelligence arena, Arm will reportedly also establish a special division focusing on artificial intelligence chips.
For the initial target, Arm wants to come up with the initial prototype of the Ai chip by early 2025, and then focus on the production of the chip through manufacturers in the same year.
According to the Nikkei report, it is said that after the company operates well, including providing a chip production system, this AI chip business will be separated and placed under Softbank.
