Televisions with Dolby Atmos or Dolby Vision support are already on the market. Some use conventional systems, some use Dolby IQ for smarter tuning. LG televisions have supported the Dolby system since the 2017 model year. Most recently, Apple has provided Dolby Atmos support for the Apple Music application.
Of course, accessing Apple Music on any LG television requires an official application through the LG Content Store. This is the first time Apple has allowed non-Apple and Sonos devices to support Dolby Atmos on Apple Music. According to FlatspanelHD, this support is limited to LG televisions model year 2020 and above such as LG GX OLED. This support is said to not require any additional speaker system, but is encouraged for a more immersive listening experience.
