YouTube Now Mutes And Skips Videos If Adblock Plugins Are Detected

YouTube imposes various barriers if it detects the AdBlock plugin that prevents ads from being detected on the web browser. Previously, videos were prevented from playing by appearing a notification asking users to delete ad blockers or subscribe to YouTube Premium.

Now YouTube is trying a new technique that mutes video audio and sometimes skips directly to the end of the video you're trying to watch. These two new ways were spotted by SDHD4K with a video shared on Reddit yesterday. YouTube is increasingly aggressively making it harder for users to block ads to ensure revenue can be generated by them as well as content producers.

Are you a user of an ad-blocking plugin on your web browser? If so what is the main reason it is used other than not being able to subscribe to YouTube Premium.
