One of the things that has been criticized by many, including being lobbied by iPhone devices is the RCS messaging support. Now, Apple announced through iOS 18 later, the iPhone will support RCS messaging.
With this move, Android and iPhone users can interact using the RCS protocol. Through RCS, it's not just sending text messages, but it also supports sending stickers, emojis, pictures, videos, and so on. This allows common messaging applications such as WhatsApp or iMessage to be used.
Today, several telcos already support this RCS messaging, and with Apple's move to support it on the iPhone, we may see it introduced and used even more widely.
