Today, ASUS has launched their AI laptop family complete with Copilot+ and exclusive ASUS features and functions that also support AI processing from within the device. One of the launched series is Zenbook, which is a flagship class premium productivity laptop. The latest model is the Zenbook S 16.
ASUS Zenbook S 16 comes with a 16-inch screen with 3K resolution. The display ratio is 16:10, NanoEdge thin bezels and it also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, this ASUS AI laptop is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processing chips. Zenbook S 16 offers options up to AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 which is matched with 32 GB RAM LPDDR5x memory and internal storage up to 2 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD. Since this is an AI laptop, this new chip from AMD has an AI processing capability of 28W TDP and 50 TOPS.
This new ASUS laptop uses Ceraluminum construction material that gives a finish like a ceramic panel but with the durability of an aluminum panel. Zenbook S 16 also comes with a quiet cooling fan with a unique lattice design. Connection ports on this laptop offer 2x USB-C USB4, 1x USB-A USB 3.2, 1x 3.5mm audio jack, 1x HDMI and 1x SD card reader. The 78Wh battery is loaded with the promise of more efficient power use.
The AI feature included on the Zenbook S 16 in addition to Copilot+ is the AI Noise Cancellation microphone for clear and loud teleconference sessions without any interference. Then ASUS also introduced a FHD AiSense IR camera that supports Windows Hello, adaptive device lock and also supports automatic dimming mode. Microsoft Pluton security chip is also used to ensure safety and security such as Windows Passkey support.
ASUS has also made the touchpad 40% larger for user flexibility and easier to use smart gesture controls. This laptop is among those confirmed to arrive in the Malaysian market, but the selling price has not yet been revealed. In the United States, this laptop is sold at a starting price of $1,399, which is around RM6,585.
