Intel is expected to introduce their latest series of desktop processing chips, Arrow Lake, around the end of October. This is also the first time that the desktop CPU series will feature the new Intel Core Ultra branding that was previously featured on the Intel Meteor Lake series of laptop processing chips.
With that, Intel also seems to have changed the design and branding of the box that stores these CPUs, and the latest design for the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU box has been leaked to the web arena. This model is named specifically because for the Intel Core Ultra 9 Arrow Lake series, only one variant will be introduced.
The Intel Core Ultra 9 285K will come with 24 cores consisting of eight Lion Cove performance cores and 16 Skymont efficiency cores. Just like the recently introduced Intel Lunar Lake processing chip, it will also not come with hyper-threading capabilities.
So far, it also appears that Intel will once again not introduce a cooler for this CPU, and PC builders will have to use third-party coolers for their PC builds. It is expected that the Intel Z890 motherboards will support the cooler used for the previous generation.
