The Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL started receiving the Android 15 update this morning. This is the most recent version of the operating system and it brings some interesting improvements. In terms of interface, it doesn't differ much from Android 14 but offers various safety and security features that the site has needed.
An example is the Theft Detection Lock feature that detects the device has been stolen by a thief. It will automatically lock the device to prevent personal information from being seen by the thief. It also prevents thieves from turning off the eSIM and the Find My Device tracking system.
Next the private space can be activated. Applications can be locked to prevent them from being used by people other than you. Photo albums, social media apps and banking apps can be set to open only after a biometric scan if this feature is enabled. In Malaysia, the update can be done OTA on Pixel 9 series devices with a download size of 2.8GB.
