Hyundai Motor, one of the leading brands from South Korea, is now said to be opening its first factory in Malaysia, located in Kulim. For this purpose, Hyundai will invest RM2.16 billion in Malaysia.
Through the factory, Hyundai is expected to produce up to 7 car models in the next five years. At the same time, by producing vehicles locally, Hyundai can also market their vehicles at more competitive prices for the local market.
In addition, the government has also set several conditions for Hyundai Motor, including using locally produced components in vehicles produced by Hyundai in the future. The opening of the Hyundai factory in Kulim is also expected to open new job opportunities for local people.
