Along with the update for the iPad Air, Apple is also including an update for its base tablet, known simply as the iPad. The new update comes with the Apple A16 chip.
Apple says it offers 30% faster performance than the previous generation, and also compared it to Android tablets – saying it operates 6x faster. Apple did this test by comparing it to tablets running Android 14, and the Qualcomm SM6375 chip.
There is no Apple Intelligence support included with this tablet.
The base iPad comes with storage starting at 128GB, priced at RM1599 for the WiFi version, and starting at RM2299 for the cellular version. The Magic Keyboard Folio for iPad is offered at RM1149.
