One of the branches of Honor’s AI agent integration, or better known as Honor Alpha Plan, is the ability to send files from their devices to devices in other ecosystems, and for their focus this time, it is Apple iPhone devices.
During the Honor Alpha Plan announcement event that took place today, ahead of the official Mobile World Congress event, Honor announced that an upcoming update to their Honor Share feature will include the ability to send files to Apple iPhone devices.
A demo for this technology was seen using two features, namely the Honor Share file sharing feature and the Honor Connect app that will be shown on iPhone devices in the future. During the presentation by Honor CEO, James Li, he said that with their technology, file transfer from an Honor device to an iPhone can occur at a rate of 85MB/s, where a 1GB file can be sent wirelessly in just 13 seconds.
For now, Honor Share sharing technology can only be done between Honor devices, and later with other branded smart devices as well, such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Samsung and so on without any problems, and is seen to have the ability to resemble Android's own file transfer technology, namely QuickShare.
Honor also has plans to extend support for this technology to laptop and desktop devices based on the Microsoft Windows and MacOS operating systems in the future, but did not provide any further details about it.
In fact, for support for sending files to other smart devices is also not yet known, and from what we know so far, all devices tested at the event were seen using the Honor Connect application.
