Lenovo Yoga Solar PC Concept Can Be Charged Using Solar Energy

Lenovo has shown off its latest concept laptop Yoga Solar PC at MWC 2025. It is designed to reduce dependence on conventional charging by using solar energy. It is also equipped with a solar panel built into the lid that can absorb daily light sources and convert it into battery power.

The Yoga Solar PC Concept has 84 solar panels with a Back Contact Cell design that allows maximum light absorption at the front of the solar panel and transfers the generated energy to the back. This design also allows Lenovo to achieve a 24% higher conversion rate than regular silicon-based solar panels. In theory, this panel can absorb enough solar energy in 20 minutes to play video content for an hour.

The laptop is also powered by an Intel Lunar Lake CPU along with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The entire body is built with a thickness of 15.5mm and weighs only 1.22kg. In addition to being equipped with Lenovo Dynamic Solar Tracking software that can show the percentage of current and voltage generated to ensure users make the most of their daily light sources. It is still a concept device that has not been announced for official production.
